Another stormy week of news, it is difficult to comprehend what an entire country is going through on the other side of the world. Be assured that Rotary will be there, with funding and volunteers from all over the world. You can help with that, there are donation compaigns running to get aid to the Ukraine via Rotary channels - more details will come through from district - and as you know all money donated will go to the cause, without contributions to admin costs.

We have decided to contribute $250 to Interplast, I am sure most of you know what important work Interplast does in the South Pacific, it is life changing for the patients that it touches. We have also been involved in a Global Grant with an Australian District, and we might try to get someone on zoom to speak to us about that, although timing might need to wait until our time zones are more aligned. Speaking of which about a month of day-light saving to go so enjoy this burst of warm weather to the fullest.
Conference planning is well under way, and it promises to be a highlight of the Rotary year.

Unfortunately our next week face to face speaker has had to reschedule to a later date, so I will work on an alternative maybe internal member speaker, but we have plenty going on to discuss anyway. Edith has asked us to show good support for the Club Officer training about the 22 May and as the DG's home club. Plus it wouldn't hurt to brush up on what we really should be doing, not just what we think!

Have a good weekend and see your smiling faces Tuesday, keep safe.
