Greetings all, Rod & I, Steve & Edith and Kirsten attended the Rotary Foundation Dinner last Saturday. Due to COVID an in person award dinner had not been able to be held for two years so we had presentations by both PDG Gary and IPDG Craig for their DG years. Our "small but mighty club" as Leanne would put it, featured very well represented, with recognition of a Major Donor, two consecutive 2nd places for annual giving to the Foundation per capita, and one further member admitted to the Paul Harris Society. Go you all!
Thank you to all that participated in the fastest brain storm session EVER, coming up with a great raft of ideas for how we can take our small and mighty club to something a bit bigger and equally mighty, if not, mightier. Thanks to Edith for collating those efforts.
It's going to be an exciting couple of months with Conference planning well underway, and we need to show our agility to be able to pivot and hold this conference regardless of what COVID or anything else might throw at us, As they say when you are given lemons, make gin and tonic. Our conference team have secured some amazing key note speakers, which will be the cornerstone of the Conference, and we know that we can throw a good party for the Gala Dinner. Let's not lose sight of life after conference though, and initiatives for Fiona's President's year.
Numbers appear to be reduced for our fellowship event on 29th March (details to be advised), so we may leave the passing of the Presidency for the last quarter, until our first meeting on 5th April. See you on zoom next Tuesday.
