PRESIDENTS REPORT........
Hmmmmmmm as Bulletin Editor won't have time this weekend & needs to get this out, with a couple of reminders to our lovely President, I get "oops" this morning..........so not waiting any longer.........
EDITORS REPORT
I can only laugh now, as trip in this week was crazy stupid....... Love how an accident brings the whole Southern Motorway to a stand still. Then laugh when radio stations say take an alternate route.......did they not listen to their previous message on the radio advising this was blocked due to power lines down! Seriously....... so I sat & I mean sat as didn't move a cm for many, many minutes.

On the plus side, got to wear one of my MANY Melbourne outfits that I acquired last week, so that put me in my happy place....lol..... Suitcase was at maximum & won't even mention the weight of my carry on, or handbag/backpack.....lol.......
NEXT WEEK - Ian Willets on MUNA

“MUNA was amazing and changed my life.  After MUNA I was so inspired that instead of following science as a career, I went on to do international politics.”  - Participant

Purpose:

  • To simulate the working of the United Nations Assembly by having school teams of two or three Year 12 and 13 (Forms 6 and 7) students representing a particular UN country in debates on matters of world politics and social concern.
  • Debates are held from Friday morning until Saturday afternoon.
  • To develop bridges of goodwill for the furtherance of world peace and understanding.

EYE ON NATURE EVENT

Eye on Nature

Bring the kids and a picnic to the spectacular Auckland Botanic Gardens, and enjoy this free environmental education event with hands-on activities, crafts and games for the whole family.

This year's Eye On Nature theme is 'Nurturing our Forests - Healthy trees, healthy me'. ('Hauora Rākau, Hauora Ahau' - Whakatipuria to tātou Waonui ā Tāne ngātahi ai). The event will  take children and their families on an experiential journey through our native New Zealand forest, learning how the health of the forest and all its inhabitants impacts the health of us.

PLEASE see Les for details 30th March 11am to 5pm

HANDBAGS NEEDED
If you could have a clean out of handbags for the club, that would be awesome. We are looking at filling these with care packages for the Woman's refuge.

Please bring them along to our weekly meeting, so we know how many we have etc. Thanks.
SPEAKER HELP!!!!
Brett needs everyone's help. If you have any great speakers you know of, please send contact details through to Brett. It makes our meetings to have a great speaker, on top of our usual Rotary business. Don't delay........we need your help now.......
